Marie Jeanne Chiasson (née Hachey)

Born in 1946, Marie Jeanne passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on December 29, 2025, at the age of 79.

Originally from Campbellton, N.B., she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Florida (Roy) Hachey, and sister to the late Thérèse (infant), Irène (Eric Ellis), Donald (Marie-Ange Daigle), and Suzanne (Harold Wyslouzil).

Marie Jeanne will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Robert; her children Patrick (Laurie Matthews) and Danielle (Richard Mingay); and her grandchildren, Theo and Erin. She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth, Joan, John (Nancy Bertin), and George, her extended family along with many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the medical team for their compassionate care.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
