Bathurst – Wayne Simmons, of Bathurst, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 64.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edmond Simmons and Ada (Gionet) Simmons.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Yvonne Blanchard and is survived by a son, Michael Blanchard (Shelby Willett) of Bathurst.

Two granddaughters: Elizabeth and Lilly.

Four brothers: Ronald (Jill) of Calgary, AB, Robert of Prince George, BC., Dale (Dany) of Oakville, ON, Clinton of Bathurst, NB.

Two sisters: Linda (late Jean Robichaud) of Inkerman and Barbara Ann (Steven Garrett) of Bathurst.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, he was pre-deceased by brothers; Elmer and John.

Funeral Service will be held at a later date from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
