It is with great sadness that we, the family, wish to announce of the passing of Mrs. Yvonne Duguay, wife of the late Alyre Duguay, which occurred on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of 82. She resided in Beresford.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Legacy and the late Aldéa Bertin.

She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Duguay (Danny Daigle), and her granddaughter, Katrine Chiasson, whom she loved deeply and of whom she was very proud. She is also survived by her brother, Jean Paul Legacy (Nicole) of South Tetagouche; a brother in law, Gérald Degrâce of Tremblay; two sisters in law, Julie Anne (late Rodrigue) and Helen (late Arnold) of Beresford; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Mom was also very attached to her little dog, Daisie, a loyal companion who held an important place in her life and brought her comfort and companionship.

She was a member of the “ les filles d’Isabelle as well as the Golden Age Club of Beresford. She loved socializing and especially enjoyed playing bingo and cards.

She now rests in peace alongside her sister Dorina and her brothers: Albert and Gérard.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Nom de Jésus Church in Beresford.
