Nigadoo - It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jean-Charles Duguay, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on February 11, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born in Tracadie, he was the son of the late Aldor and Juliette (Cormier) Duguay.
Jean-Charles leaves behind his devoted wife, Suzanne Allaire Duguay, and his children: Gilles (Carole), Annie Duguay (Paul Methot), Tanya Peters (Kevin), Stephanie Roy and Marc-André Roy (Karry). He deeply loved and cherished his grandchildren, Jessy, Britney, Joshua, Chloé, Kasen, Alice, Isabelle, Zoé, and Maika. His face would light up whenever he was with his great-grandson, Felix.
He was a guiding light to his siblings, Elie Manon, Lyne (Normand), Odette (Serge) and Huguette. Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and best friend, Albina.
From the Uptown Club to Acadie-Trailers, Jean-Charles was a passionate businessman. He had a great love for sports and was a devoted Blue Jays fan.
Jean-Charles’ greatest love was his family. Over the past four years, he prepared those closest to him for his passing with courage and grace. He fought for as long as he could and poured his love into all of us. He was able to leave on his own terms.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Dialysis Department for their exceptional care and compassion.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 18th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home (wwwmfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. from Église St-Nom-de-Jésus, Beresford. Donations in memory of Jean-Charles may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation for the Dialysis Department.
