It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick “Fred” Harrison of Allardville announce his sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born in Sarnia, Ontario, he was the son of the late Frederick Lloyd and Mae (Hirshfeld) Harrison.

Affectionately known as “Uncle Fred,” he was always ready to give to others and expected nothing in return. He loved spending time with his granddaughters who brought him immense pride and joy and for which he treasured every moment. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and could often be found working in his garage or cutting trees on his land.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Priscilla (Thériault); his three sons, Frederick (Candy) of Grande-Digue, NB, René (Tammy) of Scoudouc, NB, and John-Paul of Moncton, NB; and his three cherished granddaughters, Maelle Andrée, Maika, and Melody.

He is also survived by his sisters, Theresa and Sandra, both of Ontario.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Chris, and his sister, Linda.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A burial will take place in the spring at Holy Family Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst, NB.
