Pointe-Verte, NB – It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Lennard (Len) Scott Gorgei, which occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at his residence on Thursday February 26, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late Alexander and Mary (Polyoka) Gorgei.

Besides his wife, Lily Aubé, he is survived by five children: Bryan Gorgei (Celeste) of Grimsby, ON, Sonia Buggie of Pointe-Verte, NB, Sarah Kick (Mike) of Binbrook, ON, Randy Sewap of Ontario and Ralph Sewap of Saskatchewan.

Three grandchildren: Alexander, Quinton and Colton.

One sister, Brenda Panzer (Rob) of London, ON.

Two nephews: Matthew and Derek.

He worked as a teacher for over 30 years, and his hobbies included a passion for umpiring softball and bowling.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.  The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Program, a special “Thank You” to Kayla and as well as Mallais Home Care. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford, NB.  Donations in memory of Lennard can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
