  •  Date of Death: February 27, 2026
  •  Location: Bathurst

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marc William Boudreau on February 27, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 58.

Born and raised in the small town of Wawa, Ontario, Marc’s heart and soul were always connected to nature. A walking encyclopedia of wilderness knowledge, Marc built a career that reflected his deep respect for the land. He worked as a Forestry Tech. with the Department of Natural Resources of Ontario, dedicating his professional life to the forests he loved. He shared his passion for the outdoors and adventure with all who knew him, especially his brother Patrick, who was his lifelong sidekick in countless adventures.

Marc’s connection to the outdoors extended far beyond his profession. He loved skiing-both cross country and downhill-embracing winter with same enthusiasm he brought to every season. After moving to New Brunswick, he became a ski instructor and a proud member of the Emergency Response Team at Sugarloaf in Campbellton. Whether on the slopes, on a trail, or behind the lens of a camera, Marc embraced life fully. Biking and photography we among his many passions, capturing both the thrill and the beauty of the world around him-often capturing the beauty of landscapes that others might have simply passed by.

Marc’s pride and joy was his daughter, Céline. He cherished time spent with his nieces and nephew: Madison, Anthony, Sky-Lynn and Kim, often recounting tales of his epic adventures and the wonders of the world around him. He made peace with many of his struggles in life and remained spirited, generous, and loving presence to those close to him.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Maxime Poulin, who spent time with Marc in his final days and served as a spiritual guide and source of comfort.

Marc is survived by his father, Leonard Boudreau; his sister Michelle Legacy (Daniel) and his daughter, Céline Boudreau. He joins in memory his mother, Gisele Boudreau and his brother, Patrick Boudreau.

There will be no service, in accordance with Marc’s wishes. The family hopes that friends and loved ones will honor Marc’s life by embracing the beauty of nature, sharing stories and holding close the memories of joy, adventure, and love he brought into their lives.

“We gather to honor your life, Marc-a warm and spirited soul, whose heart beats in rhythm with the forests and the waters of lakes and rivers, especially those of Lake Superior. On the shores of the great blue, the wind tells the stories of the pines, the silver reflections cradle dreams, and the eternal cycle of water reminds us of the breath of life. May the sounds of the lake, the breath of the wind, and the scent of the pines continue to resonate within us, as a gentle reminder of the beauty we share.”
