It is with great sadness that the family of Terence Thériault, from South Tetagouche, announce his passing at the Chaleur Regional Hospital March 17, 2026, surrounded by his immediate family

He is survived by his three children: Diane (Wallace Tien), Daniel (Esther Bujold) and Claire, as well as his four grandchildren: Mathieu, Caroline, Philippe and Mélanie.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He spent his work life at Lounsbury Body Shop in Bathurst and he taught his family the value of hard work. He loved his family, camping, gardening, cars and tools. He was also fun-loving and was often a little mischievous. In his later years, he enjoyed working around the yard and daily walks with his special walking buddy France.

Terence is survived by two sisters: Delphine (Omer Thériault, deceased) and Yvette (Jean Guy Thériault); and three brothers: Claude (Céline), Guy (Roseline) et Gérald (Irène), as well as countless nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his adored wife Yvonne; his sisters: Odette (Fabien Chiasson, deceased), Françoise (late Lionel Blanchard), Yolande (late Odilon Thériault), Léontine and Mariange (Harvey Branch); his brothers: Fernand (late Albina), Jean-Paul (late Marina), Lucien and Félix (Claudette).

The family would like to thank the many friends and extended family members who helped and supported Terence and the family during his illness, as well as the hospital staff, especially those in the palliative unit for the good care Terence received in his last days.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at 2:00p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.
