It is with great sadness that the family of Osborne Gildart from Bathurst N.B. announce his passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Herbert and Vera (Miller) Gildart.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Angelia) Gildart of Cornwall, PEI and Christine (Gildart) Hodgson of Edmonton, AB - Also the estranged family members: Mark Gildart (Edmonton), Catherine (Jerry) Babiuk of Calgary, AB, Caroline (Dannick) Dennis of Edmonton, AB as well as 4 Grandchildren, Aaron, Stephen, Christopher and Brittney, 3 Great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his late wife Fran (Paulsen)Gildart, his son Martin Gildart and his siblings Garfield, Gerald, Godfrey, Margaret and Mary.

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. Donations in memory of Ossie may be made to Diabetes Canada or charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst NB.
