Bathurst — Mrs. Marcella Roy, beloved wife of the late Hector Roy, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Villa Sormany in Robertville, at the remarkable age of 100.

Born and raised in Bathurst, Marcella was the daughter of the late Leonard Bennett and the late Laura (Ward) Bennett. She lived a long life rooted in family, strength, and quiet devotion, leaving behind generations shaped by her care and example.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Clarence Roy (Rosella) of Bathurst; her daughter, Margaret Bujold (Donald) of Beresford; her grandchildren, Dean Bujold, Bruce Roy, Richard Roy and Kevin Roy; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Marissa and Sarah, who were a special joy in her life. She is also survived by her sister, Blanche Young of Bathurst, along with several nieces and nephews.

Marcella was predeceased by her husband, Hector; her parents; and several brothers and sisters, all of whom she now joins in eternal rest.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at a later date, allowing family to gather quietly in remembrance of a life well lived.
