It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Mrs. Rita Chamberlain, wife of the late Gerald Chamberlain, which occurred on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of 87.

Born in Middle River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph White and the late Amanda Graham. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Vienneau, her brother, Hector White (Solange), her sister, Theresa White and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her caregiver Danika Michelle Richard.

Besides her husband, she now rests with her brother, Ernest; his sisters: Effie, Mary and Léona. 

The family wishes to thank the staff of the 3rd West and the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst and the Foyer Notre Dame du Sourire, in Allardville, for the excellent care provided to Rita.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com) on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.
