It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved husband, Brian McLauchlan of Riverview, NB, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the age of 71. 

Born and raised in Bathurst, he was second son of the late Reid “Mac” McLauchlan and Theresa (Landry) McLauchlan. The MacLauchlan household was hectic and active one. Theresa and Mac where good, solid parents, and with their guidance, the boys grew up to be smart, kind, loyal and quick witted.

Brian had many escapades with his brothers and childhood friends. Whether Brian travelled near or far, there was a great story for every adventure.

Brian was an excellent cook, who enjoyed being in the kitchen. He also enjoyed the home we shared, including tending to the yard and spending time in the garage “moding” his car. His Speed 3 gave him much joy and blew his hair back! Brian particularly enjoyed the squirrels, raccoons, deer and groundhogs that frequent our property. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne and brothers Kevin (Marie), Lorne, Reid and Garth (Jenn). Brian is also survived by his brother-in-law Bob (Kathy), Janet (Randy), Donna (Mark) and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Brian is predeceased by our niece Mackenzie McLauchlan and our cats Cody, Haley Starr and Calypso. 

At Brian’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, NB.
