Rough Waters – It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Louis Vienneau, husband of the late Irene (Lavigne) Vienneau, of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, which occurred Thursday September 24, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 90.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alvin and Eve (Boucher) Vienneau.

He worked as a miner for most of his life and was a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bathurst. 

He leaves behind his common-law spouse, Denise Turbide. 

Four daughters:  Nancy Vienneau of Port Cartier, QC,  Sharon Cormier (Paul) of Dieppe, Cathy Vienneau (Richard Castle) of Franklin, North Carolina, USA and Tammy Gallant (Andre) of Irishtown. 

Five grandchildren: Bradley, Justin, Sophie, Brooke and Tyler and eight great-grandchildren.

One sister, Irène Larouche of Port Cartier, QC. 

Two brothers:  Claude Vienneau (Grace) of Bathurst and Eric Vienneau (Mary) of Halifax, NS.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 30, 2026, at 11 am from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Louis can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favourite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
