It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine (Lagacé) Babin announces her sudden passing at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in Moncton on September 25, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born in Bathurst, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Alphé Lagacé and the late Isabelle (Thibault) Lagacé. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Babin, the father of her children. Lorraine will be deeply missed by her three children, Tina David (Murray), René Babin, and Andy Babin (Denise); her grandchildren, Tyler David, Chad David, Nolan Babin, Alexandra Babin, and Wesley Babin; and her loving partner of 35 years, Cyril Berubé.

She is also survived by her siblings, Geraldine Comeau, Lina Babin, Jeannette Surette, Murielle Chamberlain, and Ronald Lagacé. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Lionel Lagacé, Roger Lagacé, and Collette Stinson.

Lorraine will also be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent playing cards with those she loved and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh. Her warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In accordance with Lorraine’s wishes, a funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church on October 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
