Beresford – Mr. Roger Raiche, of Beresford, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on October 12, 2026, at the age of 83. 

He is survived by the mother of his children, Lorraine Boudreau.

His children: Lina (Patrick), Stéphane (Mylène) and Natalie.

Four grandchildren: Justine, Marie-Catherine, Sunny and Michel. 

He is also survived by his sisters and brothers: Paulette Salesse (Robert), Guy Raiche (Dalgis), Guyta Chiasson (Claude), Gérard Raiche (Réjeanne), Jeannine Raiche DeRoche (Luc), Claude Raiche (Rachael), Denis Raiche (Terry), Diane Raiche Phillips (Robert) and Jean-Marc Raiche (Doris); his friend, Janet Pitre, as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.

Mr. Raiche had lived in Beresford for several years. Fond of the great outdoors, nature and trout fishing. A passionate and talented dancer, he regularly frequented the region's dance halls. During his career, he worked as a boiler operator in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Algeria. 

The family wishes to express its deep gratitude to the nursing staff of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, to Dr. Arseneau and to the physicians on call for the excellent care provided to Mr. Raiche.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com), from where the procession will leave for funeral mass at 4 p.m. from Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church, Bathurst.
