Lawrence White of Bathurst, 91, which occurred Thursday, (November 23, 2006) at Chaleur regional hospital.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Pius and late Josephine (Laviolette) White.
Pre-deceased by his wife Isabelle (Doucet) White in 2000.
He worked for the former Bathurst Paper Mills for 39 years.
He was School trustee in South Bathurst district and later for the Bathurst City district.
He served on St-Theresa Parish Council.
He is survived by:
Three sons;
Dr. Robert (Joyce Dupuis) White of Bathurst,
Claude (Jeanette McFarlane) White and
Gerald (Laurie Ricker) both of Bedford, NS
Two daughters;
Jeannine White and
Denise Hachey (Charles) both of Bathurst
Two sisters;
Helen Comeau of Bathurst and
Eva MacDougal of Nova Scotia
One daughter-in-law; Ginette White of Moncton.
11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by on son; Gary White.
The body will rest at Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com) Friday (November 24, 2006) at 2:00 pm.
The funeral will be held Saturday (November 25, 2006) at 11:00 am from St.Theresa Church, King Ave. Bathurst.
Interment will take place in the Holy family cemetery.
Visiting hours: Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9:00 until the time of funeral.
