Bathurst - James Alexander Hennessy, 84, of Ste Anne St., Bathurst, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Tuesday (December 5, 2006). Born in West Bathurst, he was the son of the late Patrick Joseph and Bridget Beatrice Theresa (Moran) Hennessy. He joined the City of Edmonton Squadron #418 of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, serving in England and continental Europe and was a member and Past President of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Garrett) Hennessy. One son: Patrick Hennessy (Monique) of Bathurst One daughter: Nancy Lynch (Bill) of Prince George, BC Two sisters: Lucy Catherine Jarratt (late Sydney) and Mary Patricia Anne "Anna" Wesenberg (late Henrik), both of Bathurst One brother: Dr. Robert Douglas Hennessy (Therese) Bathurst Six grandchildren; Shauna, Jamie, Shannon, Cherryl, Rachel and Philip. Five great-grandchildren; Connor, Ryan, Nolan, Hannah and Lynden. Many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brothers Roger and Bruno. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (December 8, 2006) at 3:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral. A Legion service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. from the Funeral Home.
