Bathurst - Jeannette Fournier, 64, wife of Edward Fournier, of Belledune, passed away on Tuesday (May 1, 2007) at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Jefferey and Laura (Catudal-St. Jean) Benoit. Besides her husband, she is survived by: Three children: Carol Peters (Shawn) of Bathurst Jeff Fournier (Debbie O'Dolley) and Richard Fournier, both of Burlington, ON Her grandchildren; Justin, Triplets Thomas, Piper and Scout. Nine sisters: Carmella Lavigne (Rudolphe), Gilberte Aubé (Louis), Eliza Hussey, Antoinette Garrett (Ken), Evangeline Aubie (Cletus), Noella Couture (Thomas), Jacqueline Lemieux and Jeannine Guitard, all of Bathurst Thérèse Lemieux of Edmundson, NB Many nieces and nephews. Jeannette was one of ten sisters and she is the first to pass on. There will be an empty space in all our hearts. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Jeannette enjoyed walks on the beach with her many sisters and friends. Her love of nature is well known; if you see a beautiful sunset, or hear the spring birds arriving, think of her, for I will. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (May 4, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst, with Father Greg Culligan officiating. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
