Edmond St. Pierre, 73, of York St., Bathurst, died surrounded by his family, on Thursday (September 9, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in St.Isidore, he was the son of the late Augustin and Elizabeth (Brideau) St. Pierre. He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 15 years and later worked for the former Stone Containers for 20 years. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1935, member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br., 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst and a member of the Chaleur Fiddler's Club, Bathurst. Besides his wife, the former Rosella Flinn, he is survived by: Four daughters: Ros Marie Willis (Greg) of Moncton, Lisa Gallagher (Mark) of Bathurst, Laura Thiessen (George) of Saint John and Angela Chamberlain (Daniel) of Ottawa, ON; Three brothers: Eugene St.Pierre (Rita) of Tracadie, George St. Pierre (Riat) of Cornwall, ON and Ernest St. Pierre (Imelda) of St. Isidore, NB; Two sisters: Mathilda Bernier of Grand Falls, NB and Helen Gorman of Fredericton, NB; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, many nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst after 7 p.m. Saturday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (September 13, 2004) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 7 to 9 and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Monday 9 a.m. till time of Funeral Mass.
