Bathurst - It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Stever, brother to Robert and Wayne Stever, announce his passing on Friday May 3, 2019 at the Melanson Care Home, Bathurst, at the age of 62.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Leo H. and Mildred (Lavigne) Stever.

In his younger years, Dale was an active member of the 640 Chaleur Squadron Air Cadets and attended summer camp at CFB Greenwood, NS. Following graduation at Bathurst High School, he attended the Community College.  He was involved in Karate and enjoyed playing the guitar.  He worked for NB Housing before he took ill.

The family would like to thank the Melanson Care Home staff, the Extra Mural program, the special nurses and doctors that looked after him and the Sacred Heart Cathedral C.W.L.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Bathurst Volunteer Center or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
