It is with great sadness, the family of Diane Bourgoin, 59, wife of Jacques “Butch” of Middle River, announces her passing on Friday, September 27th, 2019 which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, with family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Marcelin “Zou” Ouellette of Saint-André, NB and the late Marguerite “Margot” (Richard) Ouellette.
Diane was a caretaker at home as well as within her profession. She studied nursing at CCNB in Bathurst where she obtained her licensed practical nursing licence and continued her career at the Foyer Notre Dames de Lourdes then at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
She was a loyal wife, devoted mother and adoring grandmother. Her grand children brought her the most joy and every moment spent together was cherished.
Besides her husband Jacques, she is survived by her two daughters, Annie Bourgoin (Joey St-Amand) of Dunlop and Julie Thebeau (Mathieu) of Rogersville.
Three grandchildren: Simon, Isabelle and Jonah.
Her siblings, Lise St-Amand (Ronald) of Saint-André, identical twin Carol Ouellette of Grand Falls, Marcel (Noelyne) of Saint-André, Charline Ouellette (Denis) of Edmundston, Gilles (Gisele) of Saint- André, and Georges (Patricia) of Bridgewater, NS as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St, Bathurst on Monday, September 30th, 2019 from 7-9 pm, and at O’Regan Funeral Home, 515 Everard Blvd, Grand Falls on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. from Saint-André Church, Saint-André, NB.
Donations in memory of Diane may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
