Beresford - It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Robert "Bob" McCarthy, of Beresford, which occurred Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at his residence at the age of 88.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late John William and Margaret (Plourde) McCarthy.

Besides his wife, Marcia (Daigle) McCarthy, he is survived by seven children: Line White (Robert) of Beresford, Luc Leclerc (Rita Simon) and Carole Leclerc both of London, ON, Marc Leclerc of Hamilton, ON, Paul Leclerc (Mary) of Delhi, ON, Terry McCarthy of Penticton, ON and Shane McCarthy of Winsor, ON.

Twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

One brother, Doug McCarthy (Dorothy) of Edmonton, AB.

Two sisters: Jeannette McCarthy and Linda McCarthy.

A sister in law, Anne-Marie McCarthy of Burlington, ON.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers John and Billy. 

At his request, there will be no visitations or funeral. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
