Bathurst – Arthur “Timmy” Garrett, of Victoria Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 83.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Arthur J. "Mun" and Margaret (Thibodeau) Garrett.

Besides his wife, Debbie (Northrup) Garrett, he is survived by three children: Richard Garrett of Bathurst, Audra Garrett Bourque (Paul) of Moncton and Janita Doucet of Caraquet.

Five grandchildren: Sonia, Jessica, Alex, Jayden, Corey and five great-grandchildren: Sarah, Zoey, Jayden, Olivia and Liam.

Three brothers: Roger Garrett (Sharon), Mike Garrett (Laurinda) and Stephen Garrett (Barb) all of Bathurst.

One sister, Lorraine Boulter (Donnie) of Charlottetown, PEI.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by two grandsons: Corey and Matthew.

Timmy worked as a bartender for most of his life. He was an avid Montreal Canadians fan, Blue Jays fan, the former Acadie Bathurst Titan fan, loved to bowl, play darts, softball and nothing was better then a good game of 45’s.

There will be no visitations at the funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Timmy can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst,
