Big River – Mrs. Elda Chevalier, wife of Michael Chevalier, of Big River, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 79.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Harmony (Jagoe) Black.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a  sister; Charlotte Pitre (Bernard).

Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides her first husband, Paul Gauthier, she was pre-deceased by  sisters, Marjorie and Mazie.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 4th, 2025 at 2 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, King Ave.
