Beresford - It is with great sadness that the family of Lauza Paradis (née Frenette) of Beresford, Nb, announces her peaceful passing, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the age of 84.

Born in Robertville, NB, Lauza (daughter of the late Théodore Frenette and Alpheda Vienneau) was one of ten children.

She is predeceased by her husband Maurice, her sisters Julia, Rita, Yvonne, Emilia, Amanda, and Claudette and her brother Emerild.

She is survived by her two sisters Therese Guitard (late Everette) and Murielle Frenette (Albin), her only son Mario Paradis (Tracy), her granddaughter Allyson Paradis (Marcell Paganini), and her great grandchildren Théodore and Béatrice Boucher as well as many nieces and nephews.

Prior to retiring, Lauza worked many years as a housekeeper for the St. John Bosco rectory in Dalhousie, NB.

There will not be any visitation at the funeral home and a private ceremony for family will be held later. Lauza will be interred at the St. John Bosco cemetery in Dalhousie, NB beside her beloved husband Maurice at a private ceremony in the spring.

The family extends its deepest thanks to the third floor, fourth floor and Palliative Care staff at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, New Brunswick, as well as to the staff at Manoir Bienveillance where Lauza enjoyed a very active and fulfilled life over the past eight years.

Donations in memory of Lauza, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in Lauza’s name. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
