Nigadoo – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thérèse (Clément) Comeau, 84, of Nigadoo, wife of the late Daniel Comeau, which occurred on February 6, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her daughters.
Born in Saint-Léolin, she was the daughter of the late Donat Clément and the late Dora (Laura) Cormier.
She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Denise Comeau-Poirier (Roland) of Dieppe and Jocelyne Comeau of Nigadoo; her granddaughter Danika Poirier (Josh) of Dieppe; her eight brothers and sisters: Roger of Beresford, Henri (late Darlene) of Norton, Martin (Yvonne) of Bathurst, Raymonde Green (Earl) of Apohaqui, Adéline Robichaud (Donat) of Russellville, Mariette Green (Kenny) of Apohaqui, Alcide (late Connie) of Norton, and Mona Reicker (Terry) of Kiersteadville; as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is now reunited with her husband, Daniel, and her son, Roland.
In her younger years, Thérèse taught at Notre-Dame des Champs school, worked at the Bathurst Hospital as an LPN, and later as a dental assistant. She also devoted much of her time to causes that were close to her heart.
During her retirement, she was able to dedicate herself to her many passions, including her collections of bells, stamps, and pins. She made over one hundred quilts, in addition to numerous crochet and knitting projects.
She also enjoyed working in her garden and researching in genealogy.. She loved baking homemade bread, fudge, and all kinds of pastries to share with family and friends. Above all, her family and friends held a central place in her life.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Bathurst Extramural Program, her family physician Dr. Ève-Maryse Boudreau, as well as all the doctors who provided such compassionate care.

The funeral service will be held at Saint-Polycarp Church in Petit-Rocher at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Héritage Funeral Home of Beresford (www.mfheritage.com).
