In loving memory, Louise Gagné (nee Moffatt), beloved wife of Leo Gagné (retired pastor Assemblée Évangelique Baptiste Népisiguit), passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Thursday February 12, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Moffatt and the late Lorraine Moffatt (Lemoing).

Loving mother to Liane (Gordon) Richardson of Oshawa, ON, and Joanne (Etienne) Godin of Beresford, NB, cherished grandmother to Cory (Christine), Robert, Ben, and Anna. Also survived by her sister Linda (Marcel) Gagné (nee Moffatt), beloved aunt to Robert and Lindy (Bill) as well as many other nephews and nieces.

We wish to thank Dr. Ault, Dre. Lamarre, Doreen, Joan, Holli, Daniel, Nany, as well as everyone else who contributed to her care. A special thank you to all the employees of Palliative Care.

Also, we wish to thank Pasteur Eximont Cribe and Pastor Andrew Bauer for their support and care at this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, 187 St. George Street, Bathurst on Friday February 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.

Donations in memory of Louise may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.
