On Saturday April 11, 2026, at Foyer Chez Line in Beresford, NB, Paul Kerry passed. He was 89. Paul was born at Pointe-Alexandre. He was the youngest of nine. His parents were Eva Noël and Joseph Kerry of Lamèque, NB. The Kerry’s are Irish.

Paul was raised in Lamèque, NB with his brother and seven sisters. After Lamèque, he lived in North Tetagouche, Bathurst, Petit-Rocher, and Beresford, in NB.

Paul was the baby of the family. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Eva Noël and Joseph Kerry. His brother and sisters: Germaine, Lina, Tilmont, Priscille, Émilienne and two baby girls: Noella and Marie-Anna. His son, Robert Kerry, and his grandson, Kristopher Power (Angelina). His first wife, Stella Blanchard, his second, Anne Marie Frigault and the love of his life, Claire Power.

Paul had seven children with his first wife, Stella Blanchard. He is survived by his children Sharon, Vivian, Jeanne, Angelina, Linda and Donald.

For the past 17 years, Paul had his chum, his pet cat Peanut. Paul loved animals. For the past decade, apart from rocking his chum, he enjoyed feeding the birds and observing them. Paul was an avid reader and enjoyed identifying the backyard birds. During his farming days, Paul always had a dog. He loved all his animals, and never forgot his special horse, Prince. He loved his cows, his lambs and working the land.

Paul was a hard worker and a Jack of all trades. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He used to work in sales at Eddy’s, he farmed potatoes, sheep and cattle. He did bodywork on vehicles, painting, mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, wood working, drove school bus, janitor, was a great cook, and had a very green thumb with his gardens.

Paul loved to read novels, check out the daily joke section of the Acadie Nouvelle, liked crosswords and visits with his close friends, Juline, Fernand and Jean-Guy. Paul had a very good appetite. His favorite food was seafood.

Funeral services will be held at Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), in Bathurst on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 2 p.m. Services will be followed by a light snack.
