It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Prescilla Frenette, which occurred on Saturday September 26th, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 88.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Violet (Luce) Lavigne as well as brothers, Howard and Louis and an infant sister, Audrey.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edgar, as well as four children - Stephen (Karen) of Bathurst, Daniel (Ann) of Oklahoma, Nancy (Scott) Mullin of Bathurst and Clayton (Stephanie) of Fredericton. 

She was very proud of her seven grandchildren - Bryan and Bradley Frenette, Tyler and Kurtis Mullin, Megan Phillips, Fearne and Faryn Frenette and her seven great grandchildren - Lucas, Kate, Phoebe, Quincy, Weston, Charlie and Everett. She is also survived by four brothers, Clifford, Harvey, Tommy and Richard and 2 sisters, Marjorie and Rose.

She was a schoolteacher for 35 years teaching primarily grade 2 at Assumption Academy and Mary Gonell Schools. She was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association.

Prescilla enjoyed her summers at the cottage on Youghall Beach and time at the camp. There were many gatherings over the years, of family and friends, for which she happily cooked and baked. She will be greatly missed by many.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Extra Mural team and the staff on 2'd West.

As a family who love animals and Prescilla and Edgar's numerous collies they raised over the years, donations in memory of Prescilla may be made to the Bathurst Animal Shelter Inc.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
